1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering for and participating in TECHGYANATHON 2026 ("the Event"), organized by ITSA at Vasantdada Patil Pratishthan's College of Engineering (VPPCOE), you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not register for or attend the Event.

2. Eligibility and Registration

• Eligibility: The Event is open to students currently enrolled in educational institutions. You must provide accurate and complete information during registration.
• Registration: Registration is confirmed only upon successful payment of the applicable fees and receipt of confirmation.
• Identification: Valid college ID and Event pass are mandatory for entry and participation.

3. Event Participation Rules

All participants must adhere to the following rules:

• Follow all instructions given by Event organizers and volunteers
• Maintain professional conduct and respect fellow participants
• Do not engage in plagiarism, cheating, or any form of academic dishonesty
• Respect intellectual property rights and copyrights
• Do not distribute or share Event materials without prior written consent
• Comply with all safety guidelines and protocols

4. Code of Conduct

We are committed to providing a safe and inclusive environment. The following behaviors are strictly prohibited:

• Harassment, discrimination, or intimidation of any kind
• Disruptive behavior that interferes with the Event
• Use of offensive language or inappropriate conduct
• Damage to Event property or equipment
• Unauthorized recording or photography of participants
• Any illegal activities

Violation of the code of conduct may result in immediate disqualification and removal from the Event premises without refund.

5. Intellectual Property

Participants retain ownership of their original work and submissions. However, by participating, you grant TECHGYANATHON and its organizers a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and promote your work for Event-related purposes, including but not limited to marketing, social media, and future Event promotions. All Event branding, logos, and materials are the property of TECHGYANATHON and VPPCOE.

6. Limitation of Liability

TECHGYANATHON, VPPCOE, and its organizers shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your participation in the Event. This includes but is not limited to personal injury, property damage, loss of data, or any other losses. Participants attend the Event at their own risk.

7. Event Cancellation or Changes

The organizers reserve the right to cancel, postpone, or modify the Event schedule, format, or content at any time due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to natural disasters, emergencies, or insufficient registrations. In the event of cancellation, refunds will be processed according to our Refund Policy.

8. Prizes and Awards

Prize details, eligibility, and distribution are subject to the following:

• All prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash
• Winners must be present at the award ceremony to claim prizes
• Decisions of the judges are final and binding
• Prizes may be subject to applicable taxes and duties
• Organizers reserve the right to substitute prizes of equal value

9. Privacy and Data Use

Your registration and participation in the Event are subject to our Privacy Policy. By registering, you consent to the collection and use of your personal information as described in our Privacy Policy. Photographs and videos taken during the Event may be used for promotional purposes.

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these terms or your participation in the Event shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued participation in the Event after such changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
